A Community of Holistic Play for Ages 13–113
Welcome to Roll for Joy Encounters, where curiosity, creativity, and community meet around the gaming table. Whether you’re brand-new to tabletop role-playing or a seasoned adventurer, you’ll find a place here to imagine boldly, laugh freely, and play joyfully.
We gather twice a month on Saturdays (usually the 2nd and 4th) at Fox Den Board Game Cafe in Burnsville, MN from 5–8pm. Come for great tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons. Stay for the friendships, the storytelling, and the sense of belonging that grows around shared play.
(Parent Tip: want to join but are having trouble finding a sitter for your kids? Prince of Peace offers a monthly Parent’s Night Out every 2nd Saturday from 5-8pm for children 6 weeks – 5th grade. What We’re Playing
Dungeons & Dragons: Encounters
Starting September 12, we will be running D&D Encounters: Red Wizards’ Gambit, a new kind of organized play experience.
D&D Encounters features content from the latest D&D hardcover releases. Red Wizards’ Gambit is your first chance to play with what’s inside this fall’s D&D Arcana Unleashed books.
Important Player Info:
Players will begin at level 3 and progress to level 5 by the final session. Players can build their own characters using the 2024 rules or choose one of the pregens and play as a character from the Dungeon Masters actual play. Sign up for one night, all the nights, or anything in between.
We launch this season’s campaign with an epic Celebration Event on September 12, that will feature and exciting multi-table adventure.
Signups are open now and the first 20 players will receive a custom d20.
